Are you dying for a typical French dessert? Then maybe you will enjoy un Paris-Brest. The round pastry has been created in 1910 by Louis Durand, pâtissier of Maisons-Laffitte. It was a request of Pierre Giffard who initiated the Paris-Brest bicycle race in 1891. The dessert, whose shape refers to the wheels of the bikes, is made of choux pastry and praline cream.
