Etre rouge comme..

In French, there are couple of expressions that mean to be very red because one is embarrassed or ashamed of something! We can say être rouge comme une tomate (to be red like a tomato), être rouge comme une écrevisse (red like a crawfish) or even être rouge comme une pivoine (to be red like a peony). The English equivalent? “To be red as a beetroot!” Now, make your choice!
