C’est coton!

C’est coton! , literally “It’s cotton!”, is used for something hard to do. The word coton has been used with this sense since the 19th century. It is due to the fact that it was hard for people working in spinning mills to weave the cotton and get a good quality result. The meaning expands then to describe other difficult tasks.
