Ce n’est pas ma tasse de thé”, literally “It’s not my cup of tea”, means “it’s not my thing”. The expression dates back to the 19th century. British are known to be tea-lover. For this reason, if you are saying that something is not your “cup of tea”, it means it is not your favorite activity/thing.
